You can tell by my handle I have one.I also have a Rem 700 in 7mm-08, a Mauser-actioned rifle in 270 with a Douglas barrel and Timney trigger, and a Savage Mod 11 in 223.The Tikka is not my favorite by any means. The action is butter smooth, but it is just in the pack with the others on everything else.The trigger is great, but so are the others.It is accurate, but it just hangs with the others in that regard. It's not the category leader.The stock feels like it was made by Mattel- entry level. The magazine is flimsy and you do need to be careful that it's seated in the magazine well properly. Plus the thing is expensive to replace.The scope rings are good enough in my view but not great. It was nice not to have to buy those when I got the rifle.It is comparable to my Mod 700 and the Savage.
I think the rifle is really right between an entry level and a mid-level one. They are good rifles. Just make sure that you buy the one that suits your needs. If you want to hunt a lot and carry the rifle, a Varmint model may not be the best depending upon the hunting that you are doing.
I prefer the T3lite for coyotes, but it will still devastate colony varmints quite a ways off. Barrel will heat up a lot faster than a Varmint Barrel however. Just decide upon the quarry that you are after and how much weight you want to carry before the purchase. I really like mine. The stock feels like it was made by Mattel- entry level. A rifle won't sell IMHO unless it has a good trigger.The smooth action is great in the instance of a follow-up shot.
